The short films & photographs have to be submitted in soft copy to Mr. Naresh Nandipati - 8374010789 tomorrow 8th august 2012 before 4pm. Those short films & photographs will be featured during the Mock press event in Room No. 13.
Kindly note any delay in submission will result in penalty in points.
Only the Mentors can submit the soft copy.

JUDGING PARAMETERS FOR BEST MENTOR GROUP AWARD


Following are the Judging Parameters that will be considered for awarding the Best Mentor Group Award Aloha 2012
1st Round : The top mentor groups will qualify to the 2nd round on the basis of AVERAGE prizes won per group
For eg. Table shows the total no. of prizes won by each group @ the end of 2nd day of events

Hence Average prizes won per group = Total No. of prizes in Aloha/Total no. of groups
                                                                         = (5+6+3+7+4+2+8+3+4+5+6+4)/ 12
                                                                         = 4.75 i.e. approx. 5
Hence Groups that have won 5 & more than 5 will qualify for the 2nd round
2nd Round: Below mentioned Judging parameters will be considered
a)      Depending on Participation of students from their respective Superhero groups,
Mentor Points will be credited to each group.
b)      For Non participation in any particular event deduction in Mentor points will be done accordingly.
c)       For not meeting the required no. of participation in any particular event deduction in Mentor points will be done
For eg.  In Pot Pouri, 3 participants are mandatory as per the rules, however if only 1 or 2 members from a particular group turn up, the deduction in the Mentor points will be done accordingly.

Based on the parameters above, evaluation would be done &
The Best Superhero Mentor Group will be announced.

3rd Round : However  in case of a tie, the Tied Group’s would be evaluated on the basis of no. of Gold, Silver & Bronze medals won by their team

NB: A proper message must come out from the entire drama. All the teams can bring their own props for the event.

COUNTER STRIKE (GAMEPLAY INCLUDED)

RULES AND REGULATION

Participants per group: 5                                        
1.              Competition Method: 5 vs. 5 (Team play , 5 players each team )
2.              Maps to played are:- de_dust , de_dust2 , de_inferno , de_nuke .
3.              Each teams should have a captain and captains should give their name to the organizers.
4.              Rounds: 10 Rounds (Max rounds format) 5 rounds as Terrorists and 5 rounds as Counter-Terrorists per team. (The first team that scores 6 rounds wins and the match ends immediately.)
5.              Round time :- 1 minute 45 seconds .
6.              Sides: (Counter-Terrorist / Terrorist) will be decided by knife round. During Knife round no team can use guns , grenade , flash or smoke . If any team found using all these during knife round will lose their chance to select the side.
7.              Victory Condition: The first team to score 6 rounds.
8.              In the case of a tie after regulation,4 extra rounds will be played. (2 rounds as Terrorists and 2 rounds as Counter-Terrorists per team)
9.              MAPS :-Maps will be randomly drawn for each match or decided by a coin toss.
10.          Players should bring their own Headphone and if possible mouse pads .
11.          WARNINGS AND SANCTIONS
A player may be cautioned and receive a warning if he commits any of the following offences:
• refuses to follow tournament officials instructions
• arrives late at his convocation schedule
• shows dissent by word or action
• uses insulting language and/or gestures
• is guilty of unsporting behavior
A player may be cautioned and be sent off if he commits any of the following offences:
• receives more than one warning
• is guilty of violent conduct
• uses any unlawful or unfair proceedings
• mislead or dupe any tournament official
• is not present at his match schedule
12.          Organizer’s decision will be the full and final decision.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

No of participants: 2
Description: A dance show where and the coordination of the team members will be looked for along with the beat coordination.
Rules: the team needs to pick a lot out and in the lot will be written a part of the body.
The team members need to dance for 2 minutes with the mentioned body part touched by each other.
E.g. forehead
The 2 team members are to dance for 2 minutes for the played song with both their foreheads touching each other.

MOCK PRESS

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Participants per group: 2
1.       Team will comprise of minimum 1 and maximum 2 participants each group.
2.       The different characters will be provided to each group.
3.       They have to be alike as their character given.
4.       There will be a cross question by Judges and the audience and the evaluation is based on their performances.
5.       If the rules are not observed, first warning would be given, and the second time the team would be disqualified from further participation in the event.
6.       Any gesture which if found incorrect, team would be immediately debarred from the competition.
7.       The decision of the judges would be final and binding.

ALOHA CHALLENGE

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Participants per group: 4
  1. All the rules and regulations would be disclosed and demonstrated on the spot.
  2. One girl member is compulsory in each group.
  3. There would be three elimination rounds involving your physical and mental capabilities.
  4.  In each round last 4 teams would be eliminated.
  5. In case of any disputes organizers decision would be final and binding.

NUKKAD NATAK

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Participants per group: 5                                              
1.       All the groups would be given one single topic on basis of which they have to perform a street play. All the groups are bound to perform inside a given circular area. 
2.       Time limit for each group’s play is 3 – 4 minutes. Any team exceeding the time limit would be penalized with negative marks.
3.       The mode of communication to be used in the street play is strictly Hindi and English only.
4.       Judging parameters includes; concept creativity, originality, choreography, overall act, dialogues and presentation of the play.

Participants per group: 5 - 10
1.       Each group has to prepare one short film based on any of the given topics which is to be revealed one day before the beginning of ALOHA’12.
2.       Characters appearing in the film must be from the group itself.
3.       Time limit of the film is 3-5 Minutes. Any team exceeding the time limit would be penalized with negative marks.
4.       The mode of communication to be used in the film should be strictly Hindi and English only.
5.       Judging parameters includes; Concept creativity, originality, background score and act of the short film.

DEBATE

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Participants per group: 2
1.      Topics will be given on spot.
2.      A few minutes of preparations will be given prior to the debate.
3.      The judges start off the debate.
4.      Clarity of speech, grammar, and precise arguments will be looked out for.



FACE PAINTING

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Participants per group: 2
1.       A maximum of two members from each group.
2.       Theme to be chosen by the participants themselves
3.       Participants will have to explain their theme.
4.       Participants will be provided with poster colours and brushes.
5.       Painting should be done on the face & neck only.
6.       Participants will get one hour for face painting.
7.       Best three Face paintings will be awarded.
8.       Judges decision will be final & binding.

JAM

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Participants per group: 2
1.       Each Round consists of 1 minute.
2.       Every second you talk earns you a point.
3.       When one person talks the others follow what he/she is talking and JAM when an error is committed to steal the chance from them.
4.       Errors to look out for are grammatical errors, late start, early start, talking in a rhyme, wandering away from the subject, repetition etc.., (Points for errors pointed out varies)
5.       The person who ends the round earns 10 points.
6.       Extra points for SENSE OF HUMOUR.
7.       JAM CO-ORDINATOR’S SAY IS FINAL.


COSTUME DESIGNING

RULES AND REGULATIONS 

Participants per group: 3
1.       Each group must have one model and two designers.
2.       Each group would be supplied with certain craft stuffs on the spot, using which they have to prepare a costume of a super hero or heroine in only 45 Minutes.
3.       After preparation of the costume each group’s model would walk on the ramp and simultaneously the designers must demonstrate their works to the judges.   
4.       The judging parameters include; fitting, looks, creativity, originality and demonstration style.
